Long Realty West Valley – Wounded Warrior Golf Event

On March 12th, 2010 the Sun City Grand Armed Forces Support Group, in partnership with Long Realty West Valley, hosted the Wounded Warrior Golf Event. With 188 golfers, and the help of a host of Long Realty agent volunteers, and many others we were able to raise $45,000 that was sent directly to the Wounded Warrior Project. This project helps our severely injured military members from the time they enter the field hospital until long after they return home and are in rehabilitation.

The WWP not only helps these young men and women in uniform but also their families with the difficult transition into the mainstream of life. The organization started three years ago, with the first two years raising $50,000. Our goal was lofty but the community supported us with overwhelming generosity. The dinner for our sponsors was especially rewarding as we were also treated with the presence of three wounded warriors who have benefitted from our support. Chad Pfeifer, Michael Proscia and Joseph Caley.  They shared with us their heartwarming stories and how our participation in the project has benefitted them and their families.

The wounded Warrior Project has a quote: "Our greatest casualty is being forgotten". We at Long Realty West Valley are going to work hard to make sure that does not happen.
