The Long Realty Cares Foundation (LRCF) Board is excited to announce the new president of the Board, Liz Peckham, after having served on the Board for six years. She is replacing the outgoing president, Susan Barry.
The Board is also pleased to announce Sheila Beal from Casas Adobes as vice president, PJ Jacquemain from Core Services as secretary, Mary Dorais as representative for the Foothills Branch Office, and Michele O’Brien as representative for the Dove Mountain Branch Office. Janell Jellison is also welcomed to the Board as the Samuel Woods Award Winner for 2011.
“I am so pleased to have the opportunity to continue the tradition of serving the needs of our community,” Peckham said. “My time working with the people on this Board has been incredibly meaningful, and I am thankful for these individuals that volunteer their time and talents as board members. We are looking forward to the future and the continuation of the Foundation’s growth.”
“Liz understands what the Long Realty Cares Foundation is really all about, and she brings a strong, determined spirit to the board,” said Rosey Koberlein, CEO of Long Companies. “I know she will continue working hard to achieve the Board’s goals and benefit our community.”
Peckham previously served as vice president and representative for the Long Realty Foothills Branch Office. She coordinated the first LRCF fundraiser, Ticket to Care Raffle, which is now in it’s fourth year as a successful campaign. She brings with her experience from serving on several local boards in the past, including Boys & Girls Clubs and Catalina Foothills School District.
LCRF’s Board of Directors voted on new board members and officer positions at the end of April, when retiring Board Members’ terms expired. LCRF would like to recognize the time and effort given by outgoing president of the Board Susan Barry. The Foundation has grown exponentially under her care.
The Board would also like to recognize retiring Board Members Vera Wallace from Dove Mountain, and Ann Pinkerton, treasurer. They are two members that have been pivotal to the success of the Foundation during their time on the Board.
