Cara was born in Washington State and moved to Green Bay, Wisconsin when she was 18. After 20+ years she decided sunny weather was the place to be and moved to Tucson in June of 2000. She is married with a teenage daughter at home. Her hobbies include walking, reading, blogging and Arizona tourism. She is currently on the committee for the TAR Charitable Foundation.
